Ok… before I go into the weekend’s show can you just take a look at this cutey patoot! This lil bundle of cuddly cuteness is my friend’s baby girl. Yes, I couldn’t help myself to give her some wearableJULES BABY but I could not have imagined what a model she would be. Luckily I have already informed my friend that her lil lady will be my model until she can no longer wear the clothing (which I have some time since I go up to kids large t-shirts hehehehe). So can you pull yourself away from the picture for the next part of the blog?
So this past weekend, Saturday, for The Gunpowder River Artfest was so much fun! The weather was absolutely perfect (minus maybe 15 minutes of a light drizzle). I had a wonderful spot for several reasons 1. you could hear the music and it wasn’t too loud 2. my booth was in the grass so I was able to be barefoot all day… my fave! 3. my neighbors were fantastic and 4. no matter where you were the food and potties were close by (very very important). I generally always have fun at shows, but this one was so laid back, everyone was enjoying wine and live music, and the supporters were extremely lovely. Everyone wanted to be there to enjoy the art and go home with pieces! I seriously hope to be apart of next years show. The entire experience and staff were so pleasant. Way to go Northern Baltimore County Art Foundation, you put on one heck of a craft show.
Whats next? Well in a few weekends will be the Manayunk Arts Festival on June 25 & 26. I am really excited to be apart of this show and be close to many friends and supporters. More info will be coming out in the following weeks. Until then I have this weekend off.. yeah did you get that… a weekend off! Well that means no craft show, but I will be in the studio getting the wearableJULES BABY line ready for online purchasing and cranking out some more of the cuteness that everyone loves so much.
Random Thought: Music
This will be a short but sweet random thought. As you probably have figured out, every Tuesday is my computer day… a day to get out of the studio and enjoy some yummy tea. Anyway, as I sit in Prince Street Cafe in Lancaster for several hours at a time blogging, searching for shows, and all that other computer stuff… I listen to lots and lots of music. So I figured I would share some artists I have been enjoying lately. 1. Sia 2. Massive Attack 3. Goldfrapp 4. Depeche Mode 5. Metric I know there are many others but that’s just a quick look. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear about them! Just comment or email me. Enjoy some new listening.
